Pepperoni and Mozzarella. Pizza Time?

Sexy Nerd wanted to order a pizza. I wanted to save our money. So, we bought some pepperoni and mozzarella, which came out to less than the price of one Pizza Hut pizza.

There was a problem though. We were out of quick & easy instant pizza dough mix, (which is a fantastic product, in case you've never tried it). Sure, we could make our own pizza dough from scratch, but that's messy and takes a long time. We wanted to eat our pizza ASAP!

So, we made one pizza with a tortilla:

"One pizza", you ask? "One teeny tiny tortilla pizza for 2 people?"

Yes. Sadly, in addition to being out of instant pizza dough mix, we were also out of tortillas! So, we decided to use the next best thing and turned to the cookie jar.

"The cookie jar", you ask??

Yes, of course the cookie jar! Where do you keep your biscuits?

These seemed like they would make excellent little pizzas.

And they did.

Yum, yum, yum, yum, yum!

  1. Um, I keep my biscuits in my stomach. They only last about an hour on the cooling rack...

Mini pizzas are awesome though! Ive eaten many English muffin pizzas, or just a piece of cheese wrapped in pepperoni

  2. You're a freaking genius! I used to love english muffin pizzas when I was a kid. Now, not so much. But your grown up version looks way better.

  3. Mmmm! I bet they'd also be really good if you rolled out canned biscuits and stuffed them with pizza toppings! Biscuits can just about go with anything huh? Gravy, syrup, pizza sauce :)

Thanks so much for linking up to last week's What's Cooking Wednesday! I hope you'll stop by this week and link up more awesome recipes :)
